Yesterday was a different day. Left Disneyland area in the morning, temp was 25. Rode up to the Mohave Desert and the temp was 37 so we made a turn to go up and over a pass for 90 miles. Mistake? Maybe!!! We got up on top and it poured rain on us! Mud slides across the road!! Flash flood? Maybe!!! We pulled over at one point and a guy stopped wanting us to get in his truck cause it was so bad!! Our lane in places was completely flooded with over a foot of water! We sucked it up and kept going, CAREFULLY (temp was 9 and snow in the ditches at the top)! 90 miles took us over 3 hours! A few close calls but we made it! We then stopped at a little bar in the middle of nowhere (Camp Nelson, CA) and they treated like celebrities after we told them that we were from Canada. It was pretty cool!! Rode another 30 miles and got a campground! Oh and the temp last night riding in to Springville, California was 39 at 730 and almost dark!! To HOT to ride!!!
